A726 College Milton | Rail Bridge Refurbishment

A726 College MIlton Rail Bridge
17th of February 2025, 12:00am to 5th of May 2025, 11:59pm

UPDATE (12/03/2025): An urgent overnight closure is required on the A726 between Eaglesham Road Roundabout and West Mains Roundabout from 8pm on Thursday 13th March until 6am on Friday 14th March 2025. Both directions will be impacted to allow for a crane installation at ongoing works on the College Milton Rail Bridge and a signed diversion route will be in operation.

A726 eastbound traffic will be diverted via West Mains Road  – Whitemoss Avenue – A725 – A726 Queensway – End

A726 westbound traffic will follow the above diversion route but in the reverse direction.

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking an essential rail bridge refurbishment on the A726 at College Milton Rail Bridge, between the B764 roundabout and W. Mains Roundabout, from Wednesday 12th February until Friday 9th May 2025 on a 24-hour basis. This work will be carried out under continuous single lane closures on the eastbound carriageway at this location.

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.

This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the condition of the carriageway and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.
