A75 North of Cargenbridge | Essential Bridge Expansion Joint Replacements
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential bridge expansion joint replacements on the A75, north of Cargenbridge, from Wednesday 17th January until Tuesday 22nd January 2025 between the hours of 8pm and 6am each night.
This work will involve total closures at this location and traffic will be diverted as follows:
Westbound traffic will be diverted at Cuckoo Roundabout to the A76 southbound, Glasgow Road, then turn right onto Galloway Street (A780). Traffic will then follow down to A711 and down the road until Cargenbridge, then turn right on to National Cycle Route no. 7 and re-join the A75 at Garroch Roundabout.
Eastbound traffic will be diverted at Garroch Roundabout, then onto National Cycle Route no. 7, then turn left onto A711, then turn left onto A780 and follow down the road and re-join A75 at New Cargen Bridge Roundabout.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the condition and safety of the carriageway structures and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.
