A77 East of Prestwick | Essential Bridge Expansion Joint Replacement

Ladykirk
3rd of February 2025, 8:00pm to 8th of February 2025, 6:00am

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking an essential bridge expansion joint replacement on the A77 at Ladykirk, east of Prestwick, from Monday 3rd February until Saturday 8th February 2025 between the hours of 8pm and 6am every weeknight.

This work will require a total closure of both the northbound and southbound A77 carriageways between Duthhouse Roundabout and Sandyford Toll Roundabout as follows:

  • On Monday 3rd February and Tuesday 4th February 2025, there will be overnight closures of the northbound carriageway and lane closures on the southbound carriageway. Traffic will be diverted via the A719 to Crossroads Roundabout and Bellfield Interchange before being directed to follow the A77 southbound to Dutchhouse Roundabout.
  • Between Wednesday 5th February and Friday 7th February 2025, there will be overnight closures of the southbound carriageway and lane closures on the northbound carriageway. Traffic will be diverted via Bellfield Interchange to the A76 eastbound, Crossroads Roundabout, the westbound A719 and Sandyford Toll Roundabout, where this diversion will end. All traffic management will be removed by 6am on Saturday 8th February 2025.

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the condition and safety of the carriageway structures and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.
