A77 Prestwick | Bridge Expansion Joint Replacement

15th of January 2025, 8:00pm to 25th of January 2025, 6:00am

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential bridge expansion joint replacement works on the A77 at Adamton Road, north-east of Prestwick, from Wednesday 15th January until Friday 17th January and from Wednesday 22nd January until Saturday 25th January 2025, between the hours of 8pm and 6am each weeknight.

This work will require total overnight closures of the A77 northbound between Bankfield Roundabout and Dutchhouse Roundabout, as well as offside lane closures on both carriageways. Traffic will be diverted as follows:

Northbound traffic will take Maybole Road, St. Leonards Road, Carrick Road, Station Road, then turn left on to John Street and continue to Monkton Road, the A79, and the A78 where this diversion will end.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.

This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the condition and safety of the carriageway structures and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.
