A78 North of West Kilbride | Drainage Investigations

A78
17th of March 2025, 8:00pm to 27th of March 2025, 6:00am

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential drainage investigations on the A78, north of West Kilbride, from Monday 17th March until Thursday 27th March 2025.

The GPR surveys will take place overnight between the hours of 8pm and 6am with total road closures at this location required from Monday 17th March until Saturday 22nd March 2025. A signed diversion route will be in operation.

A78 northbound traffic will be diverted via Chapel Hill Roundabout onto the B784 Dalry Rd and follow this route to the north of Dalry. Traffic will then be diverted via the B784 and A760 towards Largs where they will then turn left onto the A78 to West Kilbride where the diversion will end. A78 southbound traffic will be diverted to follow this diversion in reverse.

From 8pm Monday 24th March until 6am Thursday 27th March 2025, traffic will be controlled under temporary traffic signals installed at this location.

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.  This scheme will inform future drainage improvements on the A78.
Road users are thanked for their patience and understanding while this work is being undertaken.
