Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential lining on the A8 in Port Glasgow, between Glen Roundabout and Kingston Roundabout, from Tuesday 21st January until Thursday 23rd January 2025 between the hours of 8pm and 6am each night.

This work will require two overnight closures and all traffic management will be removed by 6am on Thursday 23rd January. Traffic will be diverted as follows:

Eastbound traffic will be diverted via Greenock Road, Brown Street and Comet Road to re-join the A8 eastbound at Comet Roundabout.
Westbound traffic will take the above diversion route in reverse.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.

This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the condition of the carriageway and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.
