BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, are set to undertake road surfacing improvements on a short section of the A85 near Cruachan Power Station next month starting Monday 3 February.

The essential works will involve resurfacing the road to make it more durable and resilient against inclement weather, providing a safer driving experience.

Works will be carried out between the hours of 7am and 7pm on Monday 3 and Tuesday 4 February under a 10mph convoy with two-way temporary traffic lights in place. Outwith these hours traffic management will be removed however, a 30mph speed limit will remain in place as traffic will be travelling over a temporary surface.

Ian Stewart, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative, said “These essential resurfacing works will upgrade the existing road surface, greatly improving the quality and safety for road users, and refreshing road markings to enhance visibility.

“We thank road users for their patience ahead of these road improvements.”
