Amey is undertaking a project delivering road safety improvements on the A9 between Aberuthven and Broxden Roundabout at Perth from Sunday 27th October to Saturday 7th December.
The £375,000 scheme, which Amey is undertaking on behalf of Transport Scotland, will deliver various road safety improvements, including upgrades to road safety barriers and traffic signs, improving junction visibility by cutting back vegetation and replacement vehicle activated junction warning signs at the B934 Forteviot junction.
There will also be work involving kerb remediation treatment at Tibbermore to address heavily over run areas by providing harder wearing verges.
The road safety improvements will improve overall safety by reducing maintenance issues, benefitting around 28,000 road users each day.
Work will take place Sunday to Thursday from 7.30pm to 6.30am.
To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists there will be phased lane closures. These lane closures will be moved in accordance with the works taking place. There will be a 50mph speed limit only while works are on.
U47 Tibbermore Loan (Windyedge) will be closed for one week from 2nd of December to allow repair of damaged kerbs at the junction. Please note the road may be closed beyond the completion of works activity to ensure materials have cured before recommencing of trafficking.
For diversion, continue North on the A9 to A85 westbound and follow the A85 to the Tibbermore Junction at West Huntingtower then left on the U47 Tibbermore local council road.
Please note that Broxden circulatory will not be affected by these works.
