Amey is undertaking surfacing improvements on the A9 to the north of the village of Aberuthven in Perth and Kinross from Monday 27th May to Saturday 8th June.
The £200,000 project, which Amey is carrying out on behalf of Transport Scotland, will address defects on approximately 730 metres of the A9 northbound carriageway.
Work will take place between 900 metres north of the A824 junction and 860 metres south of the B9141 junction at Broom of Dalreoch.
To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the essential maintenance will be carried out under an overnight convoy between Monday 27th May and Friday 7th June, between 7.30pm and 6.30am each night. Traffic management is scheduled to be removed by 6.30am on Saturday 8th June.
There will be no works on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd June.
The resurfacing will benefit more than 12,000 vehicles who use this route each day, creating a smoother ride for motorists and reducing the need for ongoing maintenance.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
