A9 Latheron | Planned Surfacing Improvements
BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, will carry out essential surfacing improvements on the A9 North of Latheron from Monday 3 March until Tuesday 18 March 2025.
Works will begin on Monday 3 March and take place over 11 days from 7am to 7pm. No works will be carried out on Saturday & Sunday.
To ensure the safety of the workforce and public, temporary traffic signals with a 10mph convoy system will be in place during these hours.
The project, which will see surfacing improvements to make the road more durable and resilient against inclement weather, will provide a safer and smoother surface for motorists. Consultation has taken place with all relevant stakeholders in advance to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements.
Ian Stewart, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative, said: “These planned maintenance works on the A9 Latheron will help address existing defects and greatly improve the overall quality of the surface for road users.
The 10mph convoy is essential to ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists and we thank the local community and road users for their patience, while we complete the works.”
