This essential maintenance is being carried out back to back to reduce disruption to local residents and the travelling public, and will take place under overnight road closures to ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists.
The works will be carried out under closures of the A90 between 7.30pm and 6.30am each night, between Monday 18th November and Monday 2nd December. There will be no works on Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd November, and Friday 29th and Saturday 20th November.

Signed diversions will be in place. Northbound A90 traffic will turn left onto the A952 at Toll of Birness, following north to Mintlaw and taking the third exit at The Square roundabout and continuing to Peterhead to rejoin the A90 at Howe o’Buchan Roundabout. Southbound traffic will take the route in reverse.
Between Wednesday 27th November and Tuesday 3rd December, the A975 Cruden Bay Junction will be closed overnight. Traffic will follow the A975 and the A90 or other local routes depending on direction of travel.
The £597,000 worth of improvements will improve surface for a smoother ride, reducing the need for ongoing maintenance benefitting over 7,000 road users in each area.
