A90 Lonmay-Cortes | Surfacing Improvements
RESCHEDULED START DATE: Overnight surfacing improvements on the A90 between Lonmay and Cortes in Aberdeenshire
Due to adverse weather this scheme is now scheduled to start on Tuesday 1st April.
Work is scheduled to be completed by 6.30am on Friday 4th April.
Amey is undertaking overnight surfacing improvements on the A90 between Lonmay and Cortes in Aberdeenshire from Sunday 30th March to Friday 4th April.
The £170,000 scheme, which Amey is undertaking on behalf of Transport Scotland, will address defects on approximately 664 metres of the A90 trunk road.
Work will take place between the Ban Car Hotel and Lonmay Village.
To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the essential maintenance will be carried out under overnight road closures between 7.30pm and 6.30am.
All traffic management is scheduled to be removed by 6.30am on Friday 4th April.
The following diversion will be in place during the overnight road closures.
Northbound traffic can leave the A90 at Peterhead and take the A950 west to Mintlaw. Traffic can then take the third exit at The Square roundabout and head north on the A952 to rejoin the A90 at Rathen. Southbound traffic can take the route in reverse.
The resurfacing will benefit more than 7,100 vehicles who use this route each day, creating a smoother ride for motorists and reducing the need for ongoing maintenance.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
