A90 South of Longhaven | Surfacing Improvements

A90 South Of Longhaven
2nd of February 2025, 7:30pm to 8th of February 2025, 6:30am

Amey is undertaking resurfacing works on the A90 at the A975 Cruden Bay junction south of Longhaven from Sunday 2nd February to Friday 7th February.

The £210,700 worth of improvements will improve surface for a smoother ride, reducing the need for ongoing maintenance benefitting over 7,000 daily road users.

To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists, the essential maintenance will be carried out under overnight road closures. These works were originally planned for December 2024 but were postponed due to adverse weather.

For diversions northbound A90 traffic will turn left onto the A952 at Toll of Birness, following north to Mintlaw and taking the third exit at The Square roundabout and continuing to Peterhead to rejoin the A90 at Howe o’Buchan Roundabout. Southbound traffic will take the route in reverse.

The A975 Cruden Bay Junction will be closed. Traffic will follow the A975 and the A90 or other local routes depending on direction of travel.

Works will take place each night between 7.30pm and 6.30am.

On Monday 3rd February and Tuesday 4th February there will be daytime temporary traffic lights in place from 6.30am to 7.30pm.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
