A92 Chapel Junction | Road Safety Upgrades

A92 near Chapel Junction at Kirkcaldy
6th of April 2025, 7:30pm to 25th of April 2025, 6:30am

Amey is delivering overnight road safety improvements on the A92 near Chapel Junction at Kirkcaldy between Sunday 6th April and Friday 25th April.

The essential maintenance will deliver new vehicle safety barriers on the nearside verge of the A92 westbound and upgraded signage.

The upgrades will take place on a 240 metre stretch of the A92 westbound as it approaches the off slip to Kirkcaldy at Chapel Junction.

Work will take place overnight from Sunday to Thursday each week between 7.30pm and 6.30am.

To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the work will take place under overnight convoy on the A92 westbound. The A92 Chapel Junction off slip to Kirkcaldy will remain open during the work.

There will be no traffic management in place on Friday and Saturday nights.

A temporary 50mph speed limit and temporary vehicle restraint system will be in place 24/7 while the works are being undertaken.

The project, which Amey is delivering on behalf of Transport Scotland, will benefit more than 33,000 vehicles who use this route each day.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
