Amey is installing extra 20mph speed limit signs in Alves in Moray to complement a part-time 20mph zone outside Alves Primary School.
Last year Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, installed 20mph signs that activate outside Alves primary school during school hours, ensuring safer speeds for school children at this location.
Work will now be undertaken to install further vehicle activated speed signs on the local authority side roads near the Primary School to complement the 20mph signs on the main road.
The work will take place on weekdays only from Monday 22nd July to Friday 2nd August, between 9.30am and 3.30pm each day.
To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the work will be carried out under temporary traffic lights deployed on the A96, as well as on Station Road and Coltfield Road when required.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
