UPDATE (04/09/24): Due to adverse weather this scheme has been extended and is now due to be completed on Friday 6th September.

SCHEME EXTENDED (12/07/24):

Due to unexpected issues with ground conditions, this scheme has been extended until Friday 19th July.

Works will then restart Monday 5th August to Friday 30th August.

To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists, the essential maintenance will be carried out with temporary traffic lights which will be in place from 9.15am to 3.30pm weekdays, and there will be a single lane closure of the southbound lane.

Amey is undertaking drainage improvements on the A96 Huntly bypass from Monday 17th June to Friday 5th July.

The £108,000 improvements, which Amey is carrying out on behalf of Transport Scotland, includes a filter drain replacement and installation of new gullies.

The essential works will increase overall safety and reduce flooding on the carriageway for more than 8000 road users who use this route each day.

Work will take place on the A96 at Huntly railway bridge and work will be carried out on weekdays between 9.15am to 3.30pm.
