A96 near Colpy, Aberdeenshire | Overnight Resurfacing
Amey is undertaking overnight surfacing improvements on the A96 near Colpy in Aberdeenshire from Thursday 16th January to Friday 31st January.
The £570,000 project, which Amey is undertaking on behalf of Transport Scotland, will deliver improvements on more than 1200 metres of the A96 trunk road.
The essential maintenance will take place between Devil’s Folly and south of Colpy.
To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the essential maintenance will be carried out under temporary traffic lights between 7.30pm and 6.30am each night on Thursday 16th January and Friday 17th January.
There will then be overnight convoy working between 7.30pm and 6.30am each night between Tuesday 21st January and Thursday 30th January.
Work is scheduled to be completed by 6.30am on Friday 31st January.
The resurfacing will benefit more than 8,900 vehicles who use this route each day, creating a smoother ride for motorists and reducing the need for ongoing maintenance.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
