A96 near Huntly | Drainage Improvements

Amey is undertaking drainage improvements on the A96 near Old Aberdeen Road, 0.5 miles east of Huntly from Monday 9th September to Friday 13th September.
The improvements, which Amey is carrying out on behalf of Transport Scotland, involves the installation of a new filter drain.
The essential works will increase overall safety and reduce flooding on the carriageway for more than 8000 road users who use this route each day.
Work will take place weeknights from 7.30pm to 6.30am.
To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists, the essential maintenance will be carried out under temporary traffic lights starting at Old Aberdeen Road junction and ending before the petrol station.
All accesses will remain open.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
