B996 Glenhead bridge near Glenfarg | Structural Repairs

Glenhead Bridge
24th of February 2025, 12:00am to 17th of April 2025, 12:00am

Amey is undertaking structural repairs to Glenhead Bridge on the B996 near Glenfarg in Perth and Kinross from Monday 24th February to Thursday 17th April.

Glenhead Bridge carries the M90 over the B996 local authority road, which provides a link between Glenfarg and the A912. The mainline M90 trunk road will be unaffected by these works.

Due to the complexity of the repair work, and to ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists, the essential maintenance will be carried out under a 24/7 road closure of the B996 at Glenhead Bridge.

The following diversion will be in place during the closures.

Southbound traffic on the A912 looking to use the B996 towards Glenfarg can follow the A912 to Gateside and turn right onto the A91, where they can then rejoin the B996 towards Glenfarg. Northbound traffic can follow the route in reverse.

Glenfarg Community Transport Group will be operating a shuttle bus covering all the journeys affected by the B996 road closure. The shuttle bus will be in operation seven days a week for the eight weeks of the closure.

Please visit their website and Facebook pages for further information about the shuttle bus: https://glenfargct.co.uk/timetable/ and https://www.facebook.com/glenfargcommunitytransport.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
