Road users are advised that the M73 northbound carriageway at Junction 2 Baillieston between the off slip road and the on slip road, will be closed for three consecutive nights, from 8pm to 6am the following day, commencing Wednesday 11 September 2024, for essential bridge joint repair works.

The works are planned to be undertaken as follows:

The M73 northbound carriageway at Junction 2 Baillieston between the off slip road and the on slip road, will be closed overnight for three consecutive nights, from 8pm to 6am the following morning, on the following dates:

· Wednesday 11 September to Friday 13 September 2024 (3 nights)

The closures are required to ensure road user and road worker safety whilst essential bridge joint repair works are undertaken and have been scheduled overnight to minimise disruption to traffic. The road will reopen at 6am each morning.

A signed diversion route will be in place via the M73 northbound Junction 2 Baillieston off slip road to A8 Baillieston roundabout, take 2nd exit for M73 northbound Junction 2 Baillieston on slip road and continue M73 northbound.

Emergency services will not get access through the works due to the different road surface levels, works vehicles and plant equipment. The diversion route is short in length via M73 northbound Junction 2 Baillieston off slip road to Baillieston roundabout and via M73 northbound Junction 2 Baillieston on slip road to continue M73 northbound.

These works will be carried out by Scottish Road Partnership on behalf of Transport Scotland to maintain the integrity and safety of this route.

The works have been planned in consultation with Transport Scotland and the emergency services.

Please note, all works are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
