UPDATE (28/11/24): Please be advised that due to operational issues, resurfacing works on the M77 southbound at Junction 4 (Newton Mearns) will be cancelled on Thursday 28th November and Saturday 30th November 2024.
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential resurfacing on the M77 southbound at Junction 4 (Newton Mearns), between the Aurs Road underpass and the A77 Ayr Road underpass, from Monday 25th November until Saturday 30th November 2024, between the hours of 8pm and 6am each night.
This work will require overnight road closures in this location and a signed diversion will be in operation as follows: Southbound traffic will exit the M77 at Junction 4 towards Newton Mearns and merge on to the B7087. At the roundabout, traffic will be directed to take the second exit onto Crookfur Road and the second exit at the next roundabout on to the A77, where they will be able to re-join the M77 via the southbound Junction 5 on-slip.
Traffic management will be removed by 6am on Sunday 1st December.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the condition of the carriageway and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.
