M8 Junction 26 | Investigation Works
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential overnight investigations on the M8 westbound at Junction 26 (Hillington Interchange) from Monday 16th December until Saturday 21st December 2024 between the hours of 10pm and 6am each night.
This work will require overnight lane closures at this location as well as the overnight closures of both the Junction 26 and Junction 25A westbound off-slips. Signed diversions will operate as follows:
Junction 26 westbound off-slip: Traffic will be diverted off the M8 westbound via the Junction 27 off-slip and follow Renfrew Road, Arkleston Road and the M8 eastbound Junction 27 on-slip to exit via the Junction 26 eastbound off-slip.
Junction 25A westbound off-slip: Traffic will be diverted off the M8 westbound via the Junction 27 off-slip and follow Renfrew Road, Arkleston Road and the M8 eastbound Junction 27 on-slip to exit via the Junction 26 eastbound off-slip. Traffic will then follow Hillington Road, Kings Inch Road and Old Govan Road, where this diversion will end.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by informing future road safety improvements and refurbishments at this location.
