M9 at Junction 4 | Concrete Survey Works

7th of April 2025, 7:30pm to 8th of April 2025, 6:00am
  • Overnight works commence Monday 7 April 2025

BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, will be carrying out overnight concrete survey works on the M9 at two bridges crossing over the motorway at Junction 4. Works will take place between 7.30pm and 6am for one night on Monday 7 April 2025.

For the safety of workers and road users, the M9 will be closed at Junction 4 during the works.

A diversion route suitable for trunk road traffic will be signposted from the off slip at Junction 4 to the on slip at Junction 4 via the Lathallan Interchange roundabout, adding an estimated 1 mile and 2 minutes to affected journeys.

Consultation has taken place with relevant stakeholders in advance of these works to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements and to minimise any inconvenience.

Dave Bishop, BEAR Scotland’s South East Unit Bridges Manager, said: “These concrete survey works on the M9 at Junction 4 Lathallan bridges will provide information on future improvement works.”

“It is essential for safety that we close the motorway during these works, however we’ve scheduled them to be carried out during overnight hours to minimise any disruption.”

“We thank road users in advance for their patience while our teams carry out these improvements.”
