M90 Kelty | Resurfacing Works
Amey is undertaking resurfacing works at M90 Junction 4 at Kelty from Thursday 12th December to Monday 16th December.
The £170,000 worth of essential works, which Amey is carrying out on behalf of Transport Scotland, includes works to improve surface for a smoother ride and reduce the need for ongoing maintenance, benefitting over 31,000 daily road users.
To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists, the essential maintenance will be carried out under closures of the southbound M90 off and on slip roads plus lane closures on the southbound M90.
The southbound on slip road will be closed, alongside one lane on the southbound M90 itself, between 7.30pm on Thursday 12th December and 6.30am on Friday 13th December.
Then, both the southbound on and off slip roads plus one lane on the southbound M90 will be closed for the full weekend, between 7.30pm on Friday 13th December and 6.30am on Monday 16th December.
Signed diversions will be in place. Traffic wishing to leave the southbound M90 at Junction 4 will continue to Junction 3 at Halbeath and turn at the roundabout to head north and exit at the northbound off slip road for Junction 4.
Traffic wishing to join the southbound M90 at Junction 4 will take the northbound on slip road and continue to Junction 5, turning using the B9097 and heading south on the M90.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
