M90 Kelty | Road Safety Improvements

M90 Kelty
2nd of February 2025, 7:30pm to 29th of March 2025, 6:30am

Amey is carrying out overnight road safety improvements on the M90 at Kelty in Fife from Sunday 2nd February to Friday 28th March.

The essential maintenance, which Amey is delivering on behalf of Transport Scotland, will install new vehicle safety barriers on the M90 centre reserve between the B914 overbridge and Blairadam.

Work will take place overnight from Sunday to Thursday each week between 7.30pm and 6.30am.

To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the work will be undertaken using lane two closures on both M90 carriageways. There will be no traffic management in place on Friday and Saturday nights.

There will be a 50mph speed limit in place for the duration of the works due to a temporary barrier being in place.

Traffic management will be lifted each morning at 6.30am before being put back in place each night at 7.30pm.

Unfortunately, some construction noise will occur during these works and Amey is working to programme operations to minimise any disturbance as much as possible.

The project will benefit nearly 32,000 vehicles who use this route each day.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
