M90 Necessity Brae | Bridge Maintenance Works

M90 Necessity Brae
4th of December 2024, 7:30pm to 24th of December 2024, 6:30am

DIVERSION ROUTE:

Please note there has been an updated diversion route issued as follows:

Traffic travelling to Perth from Milltown of Aberdalgie will travel south on the B9112 onto the B934, then turn left on the A9 and travel south, coming off the A9 at the A823 junction for Gleneagles.

Traffic will then turn right and return back onto the A9 travelling northbound, and continue to Broxden Roundabout.

Amey is carrying out routine maintenance work to a road bridge carrying the M90 over Necessity Brae at Perth from Wednesday 4th December to Tuesday 24th December.

The road bridge runs over the B9112 local authority road which provides a link between Perth and Milltown of Aberdalgie.

To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the essential maintenance will be carried out under overnight road closures of the B9112 between 7.30pm and 6.30am. The mainline M90 trunk road will be unaffected by these works.

Temporary traffic signals will be in place on the B9112 at all other times during the work period.

The following diversion will be in place during the overnight road closures.

Traffic that would normally leave Perth on the B9112 towards Milltown of Aberdalgie can continue on the A93 to Broxden Roundabout where they can take the second exit onto the A9.

Traffic can then exit the A9 onto the B934 for Forteviot, before turning left at the first junction and following the B9112 towards Aberdalgie.

Traffic that would normally travel on the B9112 towards Perth can take this route in reverse.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
